VersaMist Misting Fans are great for cooling fire fighters, military personnel, athletes, construction workers - anyone, anywhere it's hot and there are no water hookups. Just fill it up, plug it in, and turn it on. VersaMist Misting Fans combine evaporative (misting) and convective (moving air) cooling to cool up to a 1,000 square foot area by 25° to 30°. And the water in the reservoir can be iced for an additional boost in cooling. It can operate unattended for up to five hours, can run dry without damaging pump components, delivers up to 5,800 cubic feet per minute of fan-propelled cool mist, is virtually maintenance free, and is designed to last for years. It's by far the most durable and dependable, portable misting fan on the market. This VersaMist, Misting Fan siphons water from its custom Igloo-type, 10 gallon water cooler (included), so you don't even need a water source. This portable misting fan can be configured to use with a 12-volt battery (car or other) by adding a 12-volt DC to 110-volt AC voltage inverter. The minimum requirements for the inverter are 400 watts continuous and 750 watts start-up (or peak). 900 watts continuous and 1800 watts peak are preferred, to avoid overheating and reliability issues.
